Outside of the pandemic years, this will be the most accelerated Oscar Blitz I’ve ever done. Normally I have at least a week after nominations are announced to get my shit organized, and I usually have six or seven weeks to do the actual analysis. Not this time, though. Thanks to the L.A. Wildfires, the nominations were delayed until yesterday, and I have to start breaking down categories next Wednesday if I want to get everything done without going into weekends, which I need for my normal coverage like new movies, TFINYW, and my remaining review backlog.

So there is literally no time to waste. A mere 24 hours after the nominees were revealed, it’s time to set up this here Hub post, so that all of you may have a convenient page to bookmark as we go. I’ll update this each day of the Blitz as I post each new blog and video, and I’ll keep this up here on the blog, on my Medium page, and pin it to my Bluesky account. Hopefully that will accommodate everyone who wants to follow along.

First item of business, however, is to determine the schedule for this massive annual undertaking. Well, I started filling out this post this afternoon while recording the Category Draw video, because that’s how quickly I’ve got to be on the ball, here. Gaze in wonderment at my low tech process!

In case that all went by too fast, or the print was too small to read on screen, here is the full schedule. Also, I just do this anyway.
